Intoxicating Amethyst

Amethyst is said to bring balance, stability, peace, calm, and inner strength to the wearer. In ancient times the Greeks used to drink their wine from cups of Amethyst. They believed it would keep them from becoming intoxicated. This is actually where its name derives; a (α) means 'not' and methystos (μέθυστος) means 'intoxicated'. I don't know about you, but I find this bracelet rather intoxicating...
I have hand strung three strands of Amethyst and Freshwater Pearls to create this stunning, yet wearable bracelet. There are two white metal accents, and for the closure I've used a rhodium plated magnetic pin clasp.
But what would this bracelet be without its matching earrings? These are two hand wrapped Amethyst briolettes, with two hand wrapped Freshwater Pearls. The ear hook is also hand made from silver plated base metal.
