Wow! What a busy summer.... it flew by so quickly! I cannot believe that today is the first day of Fall! I did many festivals, farmers' markets and street markets this season and am already excited about being at the same festivals next year. My friend Sarah from Flatlanders Soap Co. and I shared a few spaces this year and it was an awesome experience.
Sarah's soap is phenomenal! You've got to try it out! She has 14 different varieties all made with natural ingredients and are naturally scented with essential oils. She also has these totally zen soap dishes that match any decor and make your soap last much longer. If you are in the Wolseley neighbourhood, you can pick some up at the Farmers' Market on Tuesdays from 4 pm until 8 pm until the end of October, or click the link above and buy from her online shop.
We began the summer at the Canada Day Festival in Osborne Village, continued to Fringe Festival which was 12 days long, headed out to Morden for the Corn and Apple Festival, did the Barge Festival at the Forks at the end of August and participated in ManyFest (Ciclovia) on Braodway the following weekend. Did that all really fit in to one sentence?
Our next event is coming up in three weeks; we'll both be at the FIRST annual (possibly semi-annual) handmade and vintage sale put on by W.E.S.T. It's a team of local artisans based in Manitoba and this year there will be 24 vendors selling their wares at the sale. There's so much good stuff to chose from for your unique Christmas gifts, make sure to save the date.
If you miss us at these two, then be sure to pop in to the Dakota Community Centre on November 3rd and 4th. Sarah and I will be sharing a space with Deb of Hoshii Designs. She makes amazing purses, handbags and accessories, all from recycled and reclaimed materials. I love her work, and many others can attest to how beautiful it is. Deb's work has been featured in celebrity swag bags at Hollywood events, and she recently sent one of her designs in to the stylists for Pretty Little Liars! Keep an eye on your TV to see the stars wearing her creations!
Stay tuned for more info on upcoming shows and sales.

Admission is only $3 and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Society. If you're in the area be sure to stop by!
