The inspiration for these earrings actually came from one of my other pieces. I was looking at the necklace I entitled 'Primal Gold Instincts' and I thought the hand forged bronze pieces in the centre would make an interesting earring shape. And voila!... after numerous (and I mean numerous) hours of filing and sanding - to make the ear hooks thin enough to pass through a regular piercing - I came up with these. They are made of bronze, and I have completely hand forged them. I hand polished them to a satin finish, and then hand hammered them to achieve this interesting light reflective texture. Their full length is 2 1/2" (6 cm), and the ear hooks come exactly half way down the back.
