When it comes to materials, I've found that I much prefer to work with natural stones and beads made from natural materials. There is definitely something of a little mystery and intrigue when I can hold a completed piece in which I've used materials that could very well be a few thousand years old. I'm working on a piece right now in which I'm using crystals. You'll see it soon....
This is a three strand hand strung natural wood bead bracelet with a white metal centre piece and white metal accents. The closure is a rhodium plated base metal magnetic tube pin clasp which coordinated nicely with the style of the metal accents.
